After a long and emotional day at the hospital, parents and carers rarely have the time, funds, or energy to cook a fresh and healthy dinner.
We invite you to step into the kitchen for a night to prepare fresh, nutritious meals for ill children and their families.
This program provides the families staying at the North Adelaide House with a delicious hot meal, two nights each week. Families find comfort in hearing laughter in the kitchen and enjoy a dinner that’s been served with a smile.
The Meals from the Heart Program is an incredible opportunity for corporate partners and community fundraising groups to step into our kitchen and make a meaningful difference for families; to make our House a home.

To participate, we require groups between 6 and 10 people.
Allocated days for Meals from the Heart Program are Tuesday & Thursday.
Prior to the night:
Your group will choose a delicious and nutritious menu to cook for our families, purchase all groceries. Sample Menus below.
How your afternoon will look:
4:00pm – Arrive, sign in, House tour, induction & team photo
4:30pm – Start cooking
5:00pm – Dinner Squad Volunteers arrive to assist with the evening
6:00pm – Serve Dinner/Dessert
7:30pm – Clean up
8:00pm – Sign out & book your next Meals from the Heart
As part of this experience:
A contribution of $500 to support Ronald McDonald House South & Central Australia is requested, in addition to the cost of food. An invoice will be sent within 5-7 days after booking.
