Ronald McDonald House South & Central Australia has two Hospitality Carts that run in the evenings across paediatric wards of the Women’s and Children’s Hospital and Lyell McEwin Hospital.
Run by our volunteers, the carts deliver snacks and refreshments to parents staying bedside with their child. Along with sustenance, the cart also provides toiletries and boredom busters at no cost to families.
Donations are essential to keep our carts well stocked and ensure that all parents on wards of these hospitals are supported.
Caring for parents helps care for children. Supporting parents’ physical and emotional wellbeing improves their ability to cope, make decisions and provide care for their child.
